What is an EFN number?

Modified on Thu, 25 Jun at 2:02 PM

EFN stands for ‘Einheitliche Fortbildungsnummer’ (also known as a ‘barcode’ number).

The EFN is a 15-digit, personal, and lifelong valid identification number that is issued in Germany by the respective medical associations.

On the one hand, it serves as proof of profession when registering on springermedizin.de.

On the other hand, we can use it to automatically transfer your CME points to your medical association.
